LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) — Feed Our Vets is a nationwide organization with a food pantry in Cabot. The nonprofit provides free food to veterans.

The organization has given more than 400,000 pounds of food to more than 20,000 veterans and their family members.

Today, Feb. 16, the nationwide organization opened its doors in Cabot. The director said Arkansas needed a food pantry for veterans.

"We started doin' some research and there wasn't any veterans' food pantry in the state of Arkansas." the director said. "So we researched, thought about it, talked about it, and we decided to open one."

Any veteran in need of food can go to the pantry with proof of service and a photo ID. Volunteers can learn how to contribute through the organization's website.
