LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- A big step forward Thursday for a family THV11 is following as they work to get a Habitat for Humanity Home.
Workers poured the foundation for the THV11 Habitat Home on Division Street Thursday morning. Last month THV11 introduced you to LaKisha Waters who will be getting the home. She's been looking for a safe neighborhood where she can raise her children.
Justin Buck from Habitat for Humanity said this home is part of a larger effort in the Baring Cross Community.
“Our goal is to focus on this area, make it a better place for these families to live and slowly but surely we can change the whole community,” Buck said.
The wall-raising for the THV11 Habitat Home is Saturday, starting at 8 a.m.
Families who get these Habitat Homes have to work alongside volunteers and put sweat equity into them.
