Former Little Miss of Arkansas reads to peers at Hurricane Creek

If you think five year olds can only process simple storylines, you haven't met the ones at Hurricane Creek.

BRYANT, Ark. — Hurricane Creek Elementary holds the distinction of being the only school on the Reading Roadtrip that is only accessible by going through three roundabouts.

Bryant has caught the roundabout virus.

The guest reader at the elementary school was third-grader Amelia Lisowe -- former Little Miss of Arkansas.

Amelia goes to school at Hurricane Creek and read the part of a small dinosaur for the Kindergartners gathered in their wonderful library.

The story centered around the first day of school and the nervousness a child can feel and how they want to make a good impression.

But, the main character keeps making terrible mistakes and this led to a fabulous post-book discussion.

If you think five year olds can only process simple storylines, you haven't met the ones at Hurricane Creek. We've already made a date to return next year.
