MONTGOMERY CO., Ark. (KTHV) - Police in Montgomery County are searching for a 10-year-old boy who has been missing since 8:30 a.m. Thursday.

According to the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office, 10-year-old Fischer Newton was last seen around the Williams Creek area of Mount Ida.

The sheriff's office said Newton has been missing since 8:30 a.m. Thursday morning.

He was last seen wearing gym shorts, a blue digital camo long sleeved shirt with word "HUK" printed on it, and a pair of muck boots.

Arkansas State Police, Arkansas Game and Fish, Arkansas Department of Corrections, United States Forest Service, and the Mount Ida Fire Department are assisting in the search.
