SALINE COUNTY, Ark. (KTHV) -- The Saline Republican Committee hosted its 2017 Reagan Day Dinner event Saturday night.

On the guest list was U.S. Congressman French Hill, along with keynote speaker U.S. Representative Liz Cheney, the daughter of former Vice President Dick Cheney.

The event is hosted once a year as an opportunity for Republicans to gather and reflect on the former president's legacy.

“Republicans like to come together and think about the lessons they've learned from President Regan that we think still hold the beliefs of the party a strong national defense, a leadership position in the workplace and creating an economy that works for everybody where we can have rising wages for all of our families,” said Rep. Hill.

The theme of Cheney's address was America’s leadership in the world today.
