SEARCY, Ark. (KTHV) - A Searcy teen was arrested on Thursday, June 29 after his infant daughter died the previous day at Arkansas Children's Hospital.

According to the Searcy Police Department, officers responded to a call on Saturday, June 24 of an infant having "trouble breathing." The child, two-month-old Astrid Randof, was immediately transported to the Arkansas Children's Hospital.

The two-month-old's health continued to deteriorate over a four-day period until she passed away Wednesday, June 28 around 5:40 p.m.

Police then arrested her father, 17-year-old Dawson Randof. He is being charged as an adult with second degree murder. Randof's bond was set at $25,000 and he has posted bond.
