MEMPHIS, Tenn. (KTHV) – The famous burger joint founded by Mark Wahlberg and his brothers is opening a location in the birthplace of Rock ‘n’ Roll.
Wahlburgers is owned by Mark and Donnie Wahlberg and their Executive Chef brother, Paul Wahlberg.
It’s widely known from the hit reality T.V. show “Wahlburgers” on A&E.
According to our CBS sister station WREG, the President and CEO of the Downtown Memphis Commission, Terence Patterson, confirmed the new restaurant will be located at 349 Beale Street.
The location is just steps away from the FedEx Forum.
“We recognize just how lucky we are to bring Wahlburgers to Beale Street, the most iconic street in America where legendary artists have performed for decades,” said Mark Wahlberg. “We look forward to opening our doors and contributing in our own way to that rich history.”
The restaurant is expected to open sometime this fall but an exact date hasn’t been released.
The Memphis location will have a sit-down meal, quick-service at a counter or even order to-go dining options.
It’s also expected to have a full-service bar with everything from wine, beer and adult frappes.
The Wahlberg family has other Wahlburgers locations in Florida, Massachusetts, Michigan, Nevada, New York, Pennsylvania, South Carolina and Ohio. There are also locations in Canada.
The family’s motto, “Our Family, Our Story, Our Burgers.”
