Florida woman accused of beating child with hanger

PORT RICHEY, Fla. – A Pasco County woman is accused of beating a 4-year-old with a hanger.

Teresa Ann White-Fry, 38, of Port Richey is charged with one count of child abuse. Sheriff’s deputies arrested White-Fry on Friday.

An affidavit states the child had bruises on the legs, thighs and buttocks, which caused bruises.

White-Fry admitted to tapping the child on the buttocks with her palm, but denied spanking with a hanger, according to the affidavit.

A release from the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office said the woman was in custodial authority of the child.
