FORT MYERS, Fla. -- It's not yet known what sparked a brawl at a Florida mall during which one woman pushing a child in a stroller kicked another woman.

Video of the fight Sunday, Dec. 17, at Edison Mall was posted on Facebook for some time before being taken down. 10News received permission to publish the video without identifying who shot it.

It shows a group of people standing in a circle throwing punches and kicking each other outside a Victoria's Secret store.

At one point, a woman with a young child joins the brawl and kicks another woman in the face.

10News' Gannett partner in Fort Myers, News-Press, reports a spokesman for the police department said officers responded to the mall but the fight ended when they arrived.

The wife of a Lee County Sheriff's Office deputy is alleged to have written apparent racist remarks in the comments section of the video on Facebook when it was posted, the News-Press reports.

Linda Deverso-Pakulis allegedly wrote, in part: "back to Africa! World peace with (sic) will then begin!"

However, the News-Press found a page in which a Lynda Gregory-Rachoza posted the following:

"Late last night someone posted under my name comments regarding an altercation that took place at the Edison Mall. As a result I notified Facebook that my account was compromised and I deactivated the account at that time.

"I am appalled about the comments that were made, neither I nor my family share these beliefs. As a result of this, after today, I will be removing myself from social media. Linda Deverso-Pakulis."

The office says it is looking into the matter.
