NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark (THV11): Preps on 11 previews are winding down here as high school football season is almost upon us. But the previews wouldn't be complete without talking the CAC Mustangs. A team that will be opening up their year a bit early.

The Mustangs are coming off an 8-4 record but that's not a huge factor because this program is going to look completely different. Not only will you see several new faces but you'll also see a new offense.

For the first time in 9 years, you won't see the spread out of them. Instead, Tommy Shoemaker will be leading his guys to the Wing T.

"There's a learning curve to it. The lineman learning the terminology, the different schemes and the backs as well. And the quarterbacks, there's a little bit of difference, obviously. Just taking snaps from under center instead of shotgun. So, learning that. It's been a little different but the kids have been great. We tried to get a little bit ahead of the curve and ran it last year in J.V. and Junior High so those guys at least got their feet wet with it," said Head Coach Tommy Shoemaker.
