We know that push alerts are sacred, but with our new app you get to finally customize your experience.
From the kinds of stories you prefer to what location you want to know the weather to what notifications appear on your phone's lock screen.
We can help tailor the news we're delivering to you to what you're interested in.
Here's how it works: Open the THV11 News app (if you don't have it, download it in your App Store or in the Google Play store).
WEATHER FORECASTS
Open the Weather tab and tap on the city location icon found at the top of the screen. It's right under the orange tab to open the radar.
Then select "Add Location" and fill out the form that opens up. To make your new location the default weather forecast, click the pencil icon found under the location's temperature and that's it!
FAVORITE TOPICS AND NOTIFICATIONS
Next you can select the topics you want to follow and customize the notifications you receive.
You can find topics and notifications settings in the menu by tapping the three-line icon on the upper left of your screen.
The topics you choose will become your favorites and appear at the top of the menu screen for easy access.
At the bottom of the topics page you will find a button to Manage Topic Alerts and Notifications. You can choose to receive notifications on your favorite topics or choose topics that only you care about when there's breaking news.
One thing to note: If the THV11 news team thinks something that is happening in the community is important to everyone we can send alerts to all of our app users, but we'll try to make sure those stories are important.

CHANGING YOUR FAVORITES ALERTS
Now you're signed up for alert but aren't pumped about the content we're sending you. You can always change which alerts you're signed up for by going back to the settings.
If you don't want a topic as a favorite, just tap the star to un-select it.
WHERE IS THE LIVE NEWSCAST?
All videos can be found in the Watch section. That section is found at the bottom of the screen when you scroll.
Whenever THV11 has a live program, the live show will be right at the top of the Watch section.
