LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - A pep rally at Christ The King school ended with a surprise for one of the teachers there.
Fifth grade teacher Melissa Gramlich volunteered to play a game where she was blindfolded. The goal of the game was to guess items inside of a bag. She guessed at each item until she got to the last bag.
That last bag held a ring. In front of 800 students, Gramlich took off her blindfold to see her future husband, Matt Kings, get down on one knee and propose to her.
Gramlich is grateful the students got to share the special moment along with her.
"They were a huge part of becoming, I guess, the woman that gets to marry Matt. So, that was great because it's one family and then another," she said.
Gramlich said they will get right to work planning the wedding and figuring out where to sit all 800 Christ The King students. Congrats to the happy couple.
