How did Whole Foods respond to this viral tweet?

UNDATED (KTHV) -- Let's preface this and say: No, this isn't traditional news. But, it's certainly trending across social media this Friday afternoon!

A tweet about pre-peeled oranges has seen more than 63,000 retweets, so what does Whole Foods have to say about it?

The tweet that headed into supreme "virality" featured a picture of six separate containers.  In them, pre-peeled oranges.  Twitter user @awlilnatty said, "If only nature would find a way to cover these oranges so we didn't need to waste so much plastic on them."

Several responded in agreement, while some admitted that it seemed rather helpful.

But how did Whole Foods take the call-out?  They tweeted at @awlilnatty and said, "Definitely our mistake. These have been pulled. We hear you, and we will leave them in their natural packaging: the peel."

So, we want to hear from you: what are your thoughts on this story? Do you think Whole Foods should pull the item?
