Hero Central: Finding a cure for Alzheimer's disease, one step at a time

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (August 2, 2012) - On this Hero Central Thursday we're talking about an event that raises funds to bring an end to Alzheimer's disease, the nation's sixth-leading cause of death.

The Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's™ is the nation's largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer's care, support and research.

Held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide, this inspiring event calls on participants of all ages and abilities to reclaim the future for millions.

The 2012 Little Rock Walk to End Alzheimer's will be held August 25 at the Riverfest Amphiteatre. Registration begins at 7 a.m. and the walk begins at 8:30 a.m.
