LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - For the third time in a row, this year's Cyber Monday is expected to be the biggest online shopping day of the year. On Monday alone, Americans are expected to spend $1.5 million online.
Many shoppers tell research company comScore, Inc. that there are two major conveniences that many online sites offer now: Being able to return items to a physical store and free shipping. Both of these perks help attract people to clicking and shopping
"You buy [items] if they have an outlet or a store near you," explains Arlene Grudkowski, who shops online. "If they don't fit, you bring them to the regular stores so that makes it real easy."
comScore, Inc. reported 2011 Cyber Monday brought in $1.25 million in shopping sales, which was up 33% over 2010's big online shopping day.
