ALEXANDRIA, La. (KTHV) - Elementary students at one Louisiana school did something very sweet.
Over 700 kids from grades pre-K to fifth decked out in red and white, forming the shape of a peppermint candy for a Christmas photo, which was taken from above with the help of the fire department.
The school decided to do this for making greeting cards to send to other schools in the district and community members.
"We pride ourselves in sending a unique Christmas card every year, and we got together this year wanting to do a very special greeting," said Principal Bonnie Lord. "It's our way of saying thank you and Merry Christmas to our supporters, to our community, to our families, so we got together as a school family to make a human peppermint."
