LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- In 2009, Robin Williams visited Verizon Arena in North Little Rock as part of a comedy tour. After the news of the Oscar winner's death, an official at the arena looked back at his stop in central Arkansas via Facebook:
On Friday, April 10, 2009, Verizon Arena had the honor of having comedian Robin Williams in our building. He was quiet, shy and gracious backstage but on the stage he was loud, funny, dramatic and full of life.
One of the things we had to do to get ready for his concert was to put together a comprehensive overview of current and crazy events in our city. This was a very integral part of the show. Our General Manager, his wife and myself all worked on this list. The day of the show they gave Robin our summary of crazy events in our city and he went on stage and used, in a very funny way, our comments. We were writers for the show. How cool.
We were very honored to have him at Verizon Arena and in central Arkansas. He will truly be missed. Rest in Peace Robin. (https://www.facebook.com/verizonarena/posts/10152568279260831)
