It was all part of an Eagle Scout Project, according to the Mesa Police Department.

A boy, named Jimmy, used old police uniforms to create blankets for victims at the Mesa Family Advocacy Center. The project, according to a Facebook post, took three months to complete.

With the help of 40 volunteers, Jimmy created 75 blankets. Mesa police shared photos of the blankets and the message Jimmy wanted those who use the blankets to remember.

He wanted victims at the center to know police officers would always be there to help.

"He wants the victims we serve to know that the police care about them and this was his way to create something lasting and positive for the victims we assist at the MFAC!" Mesa police wrote.

The department thanked Jimmy in the post. A message attached to the blankets said they were all made with love.
