LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) — A man shared his passion for fighting drug addiction on social media at the Clinton School on Nov. 3.

Ryan Hampton is recovering from a decade-long heroin addiction — and is changing the discussion on fixing the problem — through social media. His content reaches over one million people a week.

He explained what inspired him was seeing how people reacted to deeply personal stories.

"I could sit here and throw that to you all day long," Hampton said at the event. "I could talk about recidivism rates, but for some reason people don't relate to that it doesn't cut through. So, what if we could tell those stories?"
