15-year-old shot in head in Pine Bluff, fighting for life

A 15-year-old boy was shot in the head once last night, April 22. He managed to survive and is receiving treatment at Arkansas Children's Hospital.

PINE BLUFF, Ark. (KTHV) — A 15-year-old boy was shot in the head shortly before 9 p.m. on April 22 in the area of East 26th Avenue and South Indiana Street.

He was taken to Jefferson Regional Medical Center, where he was stabilized before he was taken Arkansas Children's Hospital for further treatment. His status is unknown at this time.

Police responded to a shots-fired call when they saw a car leaving the area with emergency flashers on. The driver told officers that the 15-year-old in the backseat had been shot and a girl in the car was hit by debris.

The boy was shot in the head once.
