LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) — An 18-year-old student was arrested on April 13 in connection to a Twitter threat on Aprill 11, in which he allegedly said, "be ready tomorrow Hall High students, cause I'm shootin' it up, R.I.P. to whowever don't make it out."

Josue Valenzuela-Rodgriguez was arrested after a fellow student warned a teacher. The teacher immediately told the principal, who then told the school resource officer. The student who told the teacher was told by another student and neither had seen the actual post.

Additional security was assigned to the school the following day.

"We are appreciative to the LRPD for the thorough investigation that led to a prompt resolution in this case, " said LRSD Superintendent Mike Poore."Their work, alongside our LRSD Safety and Security teams, helps ensure that our campuses remain safe with environments that are conducive to learning."

Valenzuela-Rodriguez is charged with first-degree terroristic threatening.
