11,000 Entergy customers without power because of wind

Entergy is experiencing outages across the state because of wind.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) — High-speed winds have caused scattered electricity outages across the state. Roughly 11,000 are without power, according to Entergy spokeswoman Kerri Case.

The bulk of the outages are in central Arkansas. Crews are working to get power back on for affected homes, but more outages are popping up as the winds continue to disrupt power lines.

"We've got people out working it," Case said. "They will get it on as quickly as is safe and possible."
