A Weekend Of Halloween Fun

Whether your kids want to trick-or-treat or lace up their sneakers, there is fun to be had Halloween weekend.

< p class="MsoNormal">Scimitar Shriners Haunted House and Halloween Carnival<>p class="MsoNormal">Scimitar Shrine Center (S. University and I-30 off of the service road)<>p class="MsoNormal">Wednesday - Saturday, 6 p.m. - 10 p.m.<>p class="MsoNormal">Billed as the largest haunted house in the state, this is a must-see attraction for those bold enough to enter! Filled with ghostly and ghastly scenes, special events and aided by the Bryant High School Drama Department and the J.A. Fair Art Department, the spooky experience is sure to be a scream. For those too weak of heart to tour, there are carnival rides, games, a rock climbing wall, mechanical bull, dunking booth, moon bounce, food and much more. These attractions are pay as you go. Admission to Haunted House is $10. <>p class="MsoNormal"><>p class="MsoNormal">The Great Lace Up<>p class="MsoNormal">Saturday, 10 a.m. - noon<>p class="MsoNormal">Clinton Presidential Center<>p class="MsoNormal">A registration kick-off event for the Little Rockers Kids Marathon will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Oct. 31 on the lawn of the Clinton Presidential Library. The kick-off event and the training program are sponsored by Arkansas Children's Hospital and Today's THV. The kick-off event will include free healthy snacks, music and a series of fun Halloween-themed obstacle course activities. Goody bags will be distributed to the first 600 participants. A series of activities, including broomstick hurdles, a pumpkin relay, wheelbarrow races, three-legged monster race and Mr. Bones relay race, will be held. After all five activities are completed, participants will get to log their first mile of the 26.2-mile marathon training program. <>p class="MsoNormal"><>p class="MsoNormal">Big Boo-seum Bash<>p class="MsoNormal">Saturday, 6 - 8:30 p.m.<>p class="MsoNormal">Downtown Little Rock<>p class="MsoNormal">Trick or treat at 10 locations in downtown Little Rock: Central High School Historic Site, Mosaic Templars Cultural Center, Old State House Museum, Historic Arkansas Museum, Museum of Discovery, Clinton Presidential Library, Heifer Village, Curran Hal, MacArthur Museum of Military History and EMOBA Museum of Black Arkansas.
