LITTLE ROC, Ark. (LRSD) - The Little Rock School District will resume its search for a head football coach for Little Rock Central High School following Blake Pizan's decision to withdraw his application, Wednesday, April 11, 2018.
In a statement to the District, Pizan shared the following:
"I often look at what I do as a calling. This role is one that inspires, shapes and molds young men to higher heights and experiences that will last a lifetime. To accomplish this task, one must be fully committed heart, soul, body and mind. My mind has not fallen in alignment. In its absence, I cannot fully commit to this job. The absence of a committed heart would mean a disservice to the legacy of Central High and the future of the students who so deserve a level of dedication that moves, molds and magnifies the potential they possess."

The District is proud of the process that was used to select Mr. Pizan. The interview team will now regroup to give consideration to the other finalists and will announce next steps in the following days. The team will move swiftly and will be thorough in order to find the right person for the position.
