#PrepsOn11 Previews Cabot Lady Panthers

CABOT, Ark. (THV11) - Carla Crowder has roamed the court in Cabot for years. But this season could be one of her more unique seasons.

"We’re really small so we have to work hard to block out and do the little things and be fundamentally sound." Where Cabot lacks in size they make up for in speed.

Senior Kenzie Wagner says "As guards we’ve had to work to get faster and get people open underneath the basket. Obviously we don’t have a lot of tall people to throw it to. As long as we’re fast it’s easier to make moves to the basket. Or get people open."

The Lady Panthers currently sit at 3-2 in conference behind Conway, FS Northside, and NLR. "Our coaches in our conference are wonderful. We talk all the time 4-5 of them every week."

While those coaches have better records at this point, few programs have more tradition then the culture Crowder has built in Lonoke County.

"I’ve been to so many games and when I got here I was so excited because I had been waiting to be here." Fellow Senior Lesley Roberts add "It’s definitely tradition to be the hardest working team on the floor. She expects hard work 100 percent and she’ll get mad if you don’t work hard."

"I love working at Cabot it’s just been wonderful. Everyday is a good day for me so I just enjoy what I do so much."
