FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (THV11) - Arkansas head coach Mike Anderson announced Monday afternoon Senior Dustin Thomas has been dismissed from the team for violating team rules.
In a statement Anderson says “Senior forward Dustin Thomas has been dismissed from the team effective immediately for a violation of team rules. It is a privilege to represent the University of Arkansas as a student-athlete. We will continue to hold the student-athletes in our program to a high standard on and off the court.”
Thomas is averaging 19 minutes a game for the Hogs scoring 5.0 PPG. You may recall Thomas was suspended indefinitely in 2015 following his arrest on forgery chargers.
The Razorbacks open SEC tournament play against the winner of Ole Miss/South Carolina on Thursday evening at 8:30.
