Low-income Arkansans can apply for 2018 Winter LIHEAP Utility Assistance program

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - Central Arkansas Development Council announced on Wednesday that the 2018 Winter LIHEAP Utility Assistance program will begin the week of January 16 and continue as long as funds are available.

The day and times of when applications will be taken are listed below for the 19 counties in the CADC service area: Calhoun, Clark, Columbia, Dallas, Hempstead, Hot Spring, Howard, Layfette, Little River, Lonoke, Miller, Montgomery, Nevada, Ouachita, Pike, Pulaski, Saline, Sevier and Union.

Calhoun County

Hampton: Beginning Tuesday, January 16, applications will be accepted Monday, Tuesday from 8:30 a.m. until 12 p.m., at the CADC office located at 210 South Lee Street in Hampton, Ark. 71174.

Clark County

Arkadelphia: Beginning Tuesday, January 16, applications will be accepted Mondays and Tuesdays from 8:30 a.m. until 12 p.m. at the CADC Senior Adult Center located at 1311 North 10th Street in Arkadelphia.

Columbia County

Magnolia: Beginning Tuesday, January 16, applications will be accepted Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday from 8 a.m. until 12 p.m. at the CADC Office located at 1503 North Vine Street. in Magnolia, Ark. 71754

Dallas County

Fordyce: Beginning Tuesday, January 16, applications will be accepted Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 8 a.m. until 12 p.m. at the CADC Office located at 410 East 4th Street in Fordyce.

Hempstead County

Hope: Beginning Thursday, January 18, applications will be accepted Thursday’s from 8 a.m. until 12 p.m. at the First Baptist Church located at 315 South Main Street in Hope. 

Howard County

Nashville: Beginning Monday, January 22, applications will be accepted on Monday’s from 8 a.m. until 12 p.m. at the Legion Hut Building located at 301 West Dodson Street in Nashville.

Hot Spring County

Malvern: Beginning Wednesday, January 17, applications will be accepted in the CADC building located at 1735 E Sullenberger on Wednesday and Thursday from 8:30 a.m. until 12 p.m.

Lafayette County

Beginning January 16, applications will be accepted Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday from 8 a.m. until 12 p.m. at the CADC Office located at 1503 North Vine Street in Magnolia, Ark. 71754

Little River County

Ashdown: Beginning Wednesday, January 17, applications will be accepted on Wednesday’s from 8 a.m. until 12 p.m. at the Ashdown Methodist Church located at 145 East Commerce in Ashdown.

Lonoke County

Lonoke: Beginning Tuesday, January 16, applications will be accepted on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 8 a.m. until 12 p.m. at the CADC Lonoke Office located at 616 North Center St in Lonoke, Ark. 72086.    

Ward: Applications will be accepted by appointment only at the Ward Municipal Complex located at 405 Hickory Street in Ward, Ark.

You must call the Lonoke CADC Office at 501-676-0019 to make an appointment.

Miller County

Texarkana: Beginning Tuesday, January 16, applications will be accepted on Tuesday’s from 8 a.m. until 12 p.m. at the Life House Outreach Ministry located at 915 East Street in Texarkana.

Montgomery County

Mt. Ida: Beginning Wednesday, January 17, applications will be accepted on Wednesday’s only from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the CADC Mt Ida Senior Adult Center located at 158 Senior Drive in Mt. Ida, Ark. 71957.

Nevada County

Prescott: Beginning Wednesday, January 17, applications will be accepted on Monday’s from 8 a.m. until 12 p.m. at the Prescott County Office located at 118 West Elm Street in Prescott.

Ouachita County

Camden: Beginning Tuesday, January 16, applications will be accepted on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at the CADC office located at 313 Jefferson in Camden, Ark. 71701 from 8 a.m. until 12 p.m. (or until the first 30 people are signed in).

Pike County

Glenwood: Beginning Tuesday, January 16, applications will be accepted on Tuesdays from 8 a.m. until 12 p.m. at the CADC Senior Adult Center located at 229 Betty Street in Glenwood, Ark. 71943.

Nashville: Beginning Monday, January 22, applications will be accepted on Monday’s from 8 a.m. until 12 p.m. at the Legion Hut Building located at 301 West Dodson Street in Nashville Ark.

Pulaski County

Little Rock: There will be a CADC LIHEAP Day (Regular Assistance) on Tuesday, January 16 and Wednesday, January 17, at the Arts and Crafts Building at the State Fairgrounds from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.

Starting the week of Monday, January 22, 2018, applications for Regular Assistance will be accepted on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. (or until the first 250 people are signed in) at the CADC office in the Little Rock Workforce Center located at 5401 South University in Little Rock, Ark. 72204.

NO APPOINTMENTS, WALK-INS ONLY AT THIS LOCATION

Saline County

Benton: Beginning Tuesday, January 16, applications will be accepted Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the CADC Larry Cogburn Administration Building office located at 321 Edison in Benton, Ark. 72015.

Sevier County

DeQueen: Beginning Thursday, January 18, applications will be accepted Thursdays from 8 a.m. until 12 p.m. at the Dequeen Nazarene Church located at 129 West Locke Ave in Dequeen.

Union County

El Dorado: Beginning Tuesday, January 16, applications will be accepted Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 8 a.m. until 12 p.m. at the CADC Office located at 1426 North West Ave in El Dorado, Ark. 71730.
