LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - Arkansas' most popular and recognizable young personality, Miss Arkansas Alyse Eady, will join KTHV-TV (Gannett / CBS) in Little Rock. Alyse will continue her personal and professional connection with Arkansans every weekday morning as co-anchor of "Today's THV This Morning."
"Anyone who has met Alyse knows she is as charming as she is intelligent, as delightful as she is committed," said KTHV President & General Manager Larry Audas. "She is altogether engaging and now dedicated to THV morning viewers."
The reigning Miss Arkansas currently travels the state as a community service ambassador. She is an honors graduate of Ouachita Baptist University, majored in communications, was on the National Dean's list and studied overseas.
"Her training and travels have well-prepared Alyse," according to THV News Director Chuck Maulden. "Her match-up with veteran THV morning meteorologist Tom Brannon will be worth an early wake-up call all by itself."
Maulden said Alyse will continue her duties as Miss Arkansas and make guest appearances on "Today's THV This Morning" until August when she goes full time at THV.
Alyse Eady is dedicated to the Boys & Girls Club of America, a Freedom Corps Volunteer of the Year winner, U.S. Air Force Ambassador to Turkey and Germany, and 1st Runner-Up in the 2011 Miss America Pageant. She is a talented singer and ventriloquist, appearing on "The Late Show with David Letterman," Country Music Television, "Showtime at the Apollo," "The Rachel Maddow Show" and other national TV venues. Alyse has met President Bush in the Oval Office and mentored less fortunate children in her native Ft. Smith, Arkansas. Alyse and her parents, Lewis and Lady Eady, were Family of the Year in 2007.
"It is this variety and versatility that make Alyse so engaging and a morning friend viewers will look forward to meeting with every day on "Today's THV This Morning,'" Audas said.
