NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- Every Wednesday members of Evangelistic Baptist Church join for Bible study at 7 p.m. But before the prayer and study begin, they gather outside for an energizing workout. They call it "Power Hour."
Angie Gatlin, wife of Pastor Charles Griffin, came up with the idea about two years ago Gatlin says the "Power Hour" adds a physical aspect to their weekly Bible Study, reminding folks of the importance of exercise.
Gatlin says the "Power Hour" brings the congregation together for fellowship outside of the regular church setting. And for some members, it's the only active exercise they get all week.
Following each week's exercise, the group gathers in the church for Bible study.
"Power Hour" is held every Wednesday at 6 p.m. at the Evangelistic Baptist Church at 902 Atkinson in North Little Rock.
