Severe weather has caused extensive damage and left tens of thousands of Arkansans in the dark this morning.
As of 5:05 a.m. Entergy was reporting that 41, 886 homes across the state are without power.
North Little Rock Electric Department is reporting as of 6:40 a.m. they have fewer than 7,000 customers without power. Mike Russ, general manager of NLR Electric, says that by 7:30 a.m. most customers should have power restored.
In Pulaski County there are reports of a gas line rupture at 904 Mellon in Little Rock. There are no fires as of now. Trees are down at Arch and Dixon streets. A THV viewer reported a large tree down at 3500 Marion Street in North Little Rock.
Officials with the Polk County Sheriff's office say there are powerlines and trees down in Mena. Swepoc and Rich Mountain Electric Co-op are working to restore power there.
Powerlines, poles and large trees are down in the Belleville and Danville area. The Yell County Sheriff's office reports numerous trees blocking roads.
Saline County officials report power outages in Benton and Bryant.
Renee Preslar with the Arkansas Department of Emergency Management asks that folks avoid sightseeing of the damage so their crews can assess the damage without hinderance.
