LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- In our THV Working for You segment, advice on ways you can save when the temperatures soar.

Temperatures have been soaring in the mid-nineties lately and that has many Arkansans looking for relief. Not only from the heat but on their energy bills.

Julie Munsell with Entergy sits down with THV's Liz Massey to talk about some online resources to help you save money.

Munsell says they've added some new resources to their website, entergy.com, that can help customers and even non-customers with their energy costs. On the main page, just scroll down until you see the green icon "Save money on your bill." Click the icon to get started.

It has traditional tips that you might expect but it now also allows you to see what certain applicances "cost" in terms of energy and dollars. The website also has a section for prospective homebuyers. So if you're in the market for a home you can see what the energy costs have been in the past.

There is even a tool on the website called "Home Energy Check-Up." There you can build a profile of your own home and it will suggest things you can do in your home. They are estimates but it will help give residents more insight into what drives their utility bills up or down.
