LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - Today's THV is partnered with the Arkansas Department of Human Services, profiling some of the hundreds of children who are desperately hoping to find a permanent home.
This week we introduce you to 12-year-old Trevion and 7-year-old Keith, brothers who want and need a forever family.
"Just feel that I'm secure and I know that I have somebody protecting me," says Trevion.
Keith says he wants "a whole group! A mom and a dad. A brother, auntie, uncle, grandma, brothers and sisters."
We met the boys at Chuck E. Cheese in North Little Rock, where they were gifted with tokens and goody-bags. It was the first time they had seen each other in months, since each lives in a separate foster home.
Keith is outgoing, friendly, and affectionate. He loves to "have fun, play tag, play hide and go seek." He also likes "racing, shooting guns, playing guitar, and taking pictures."
Trevion loves to play the drums and is incredibly smart. He needs and wants a mom and a dad, both who can be positive role models for him.
"I like to study history, famous people. I like to play drums in a band," says Trevion. "I was in a band last year. I've been playing drums since I was 5 years old, so I'm really good at it."
Both children love Christmas, and they both say their greatest hope this coming holiday season is to find a forever home.
"First, I want my own drumset," says Trevion. "Then, I would like a mom and a dad. A dad who is very active, likes to go hunting, likes nature, outside. And a mom that's very active too."
The Department of Human Services adoption website has more details on both Keith and Trevion and all of the kids in state foster care. There is also information on becoming a foster parent.
