Twenty-eight-year-old Jamie Lee Channer was placed in the Clark County jail yesterday, to await extradition to Michigan. An arrest warrant, authorized by the Kent County, Michigan, prosecutor charged Channer with three counts of criminal sexual conduct and kidnapping. Sheriff Troy Tucker says the FBI has taken charge of Channer and he is no longer in the county jail.
The girl, identified as a teenager from Comstock Park, Michigan, had been reported as a runaway days ago. Authorities took her into protective custody, to await the arrival of her parents.
