LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- We continue our partnership with the Department of Human Services this week, profiling some of the hundreds of children in state foster care.

Adoption specialists will tell you, placing a group of siblings in one forever home is a tough task. But they are working hard to find a family for one set of youngsters.

Chris, 9, 7-year-old Billy, 4-year-old Adrianna, and 2-year old Bentley have been in state foster care for about a year.  Right now, they are in two separate foster homes, and adoption workers are hoping one family will adopt them all.

For the older children, the situation has been heartbreaking. 

"You don't have nobody to watch over you or anybody to help you or anything like that," says Chris.

Much of their lives, Chris and Billy have watched over their younger siblings.

When we met the children at Cockrill's Country Critters farm in Cabot, they were delighted to play and see the animals. 

Arkansas Department of Human Services adoption specialist Lisa Forte' says Chris and Billy do very well in school, Adrianna loves to play with baby dolls, and Bentley loves to play with trucks and throw balls.   She says they miss each other terribly.

"Seeing them together, it really breaks my heart," says Forte'.  "And just today, we went and ate lunch and everyone around us said 'oh, they're so lovely' and 'i wish I could adopt them.'  They're wonderful kids."

Forte' says that because of their past, the children need a family that will provide a "secure, permanent" home for all four siblings, with a lot of love and nurturing.
