MENA, Ark. (KFSM) -- A Mena dentist is free on bail after being arraigned on three felony charges Wednesday morning in Polk County.
Dr. David Van Winkle is accused of kidnapping, residential burglary and stalking after authorities say he abducted a woman at gunpoint.
Van Winkle entered a not guilty plea and waived a formal reading of the charges, according to Prosecutor Andy Riner.
Van Winkle's bond was reduced from $500,000 to $250,000 with the stipulation that he wear a leg monitor if released.
A tentative trial date has been set for Dec. 15. Van Winkle has hired Hot Springs attorney to represent him, according to Riner.
Riner says the incident happened at the victim's home in Hatfield. The case is still under investigation.
