MALVERN, Ark. (KTHV) - One Arkansas business is proud to welcome many more jobs to their site.
Sykes in Malvern, Ark., is expanding. With the expansion, they're welcoming hundreds of new jobs.
Skyes provides call-center services for AT&T customers.
The jobs will range from customer service to upper management and leadership positions.
Sykes will be hiring immediately, and they say that the best way to apply is by going on their website.
Nikki Cranford Launius with the Chamber of Commerce says that the reason for the doubling of employment at Sykes is due to the demand for these call-center services.
Launius says, "We understand that they intend to add approximately 500 new jobs and we want to do everything we can to work with them and help fill those positions."
Malvern's taken previous hits, like the closing of the Precision plant that made parts for Harley Davidson. "We are really excited about it, this is something this community has been praying for."
Company officials say they will be making a formal announcement on these new jobs Friday. But off camera, the site manager tells Today's THV that they can expect several hundred jobs here.
