LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- This week, we meet Abby, Colton, and Clara (photo gallery) who are desperate for a place to call home.
The Wonder Place in west Little Rock treated the children to an afternoon of fun and play, and there was no stopping 6-year old Abby, 5-year old Colton, and their 4-year old baby sister Clara.
When we did pause to sit down for an interview, all they wanted to do was hug!
"They are something else, they are beautiful kids," says their DHS Adoption Specialist Erica Byrd. "They've had a rough start."
A rough start, yet they are deeply bonded with one another. They've been shuffled in and out of foster homes for the past three years, in state custody now because of their parents' neglect.
"They are strong-willed," says Byrd, "They love each other and need to be together."
Together, to start over with a new family, something that is difficult at times to understand.
"If we had a new family then I would hug the new dad," says Colton. "And if they have a dog I'm gonna hug the dog! I'm gonna give it a bear hug!"
"It's very tough," says Byrd. "Because they deserve to be in a home that is gonna love them and care for them the way they need to be. And they need a permanent home to know that they're never gonna have to move again, and that they're gonna stay there forever."

There is no cost associated with adopting a child in state care.
Special thanks to The Wonder Place for hosting the children and gifting them with presents from their shop.
