NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - North Little Rock police are investigating an incident involving a pipe bomb in an office building.
Police say that around 1:45 p.m., NLRPD received a 911 call that there was a bomb at the Family Services Agency at 628 Broadway. When police arrived, they found a pipe bomb sitting on a desk.
Some of the people in the office had voluntarily evacuated, but not everyone. Police say they were able to get the rest of the people out of the building, and called in the LRFD Bomb Squad who removed the device.
Police say it has not been detonated.
At this time, police say there isn't any suspect information available, and no arrests have been made.
According to the Bomb Squad, it was a four-inch piece of copper pipe about a half-inch in diameter. It had been left on the desk, and they were able to remove it without using their robot. They're now storing it for pickup by ATF.
Both ATF and FBI were also on scene in North Little Rock today.
