LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - Craig's Twist 56 is titled "The Guy."
What would you say if I told you and a guy who felt like the food he ate kept him so clean that he only showered once a week, even though is coworkers urged him to rethink that?
This guy wouldn't get a license plate for his car because he didn't think the laws applied to him. He would even park in handicapped spaces.
At staff meetings, he would cut-down and cuss-out coworkers, and make fun of their ideas.
What would you call that guy? A jerk?
...I've just described Steve Jobs, founder of Apple, as detailed in the bestselling biography by author Walter Isaacson.
But as despicable as he was in some areas, in others he was a genius. He had innovation, courage, and vision.
In fact, he shared a trait with every American inventor we've ever read about. Edison, Bell, Carver, the Wright Brothers... They all had persistence.
It's the one quality that can turn the country around, and yet one that never gets mentioned in our got to have it now culture.
Persistence -- look for it in a successful American near you -- it won't be hard to find.
