JACKSONVILLE, Ark. (KTHV) - City authorities are trying to help teens stay safe this prom season by showing how dangerous drinking and driving can be with a demonstration called "15 Minutes."

Starting this morning at North Pulaski High School, students were taken out every 15 minutes from class with their faces painted "dead" and sent back to class to continue the day.

A mock crash was set up involving all agencies such as police, fire, ambulance, coroner, med flight, and tow companies. The crash was played out for all students to watch on the football field.

Then those who participated then attended a retreat at Camp Aldersgate for group activities and reflections about the program.

Students will watch a video as well as hear from several guest speakers to give personal testimony over alcohol related crashes Friday.
