HARRISBURG, Ark. (AP) - Authorities in northeast Arkansas say a teenager is accused of theft and negligent homicide after a man was crushed to death by a stolen forklift.
Police say deputies found 20-year-old Douglas Hanna pinned underneath a forklift early Saturday morning in Harrisburg. Poinsett County Sheriff Larry Mills tells The Jonesboro Sun (http://is.gd/HfyUGg) that the roll cage of the forklift crushed Hanna as it overturned.
Police arrested 19-year-old Jacob Cruz-Yancey on suspicion of negligent homicide, theft and criminal trespassing. He's accused of stealing the forklift from Poinsett Turfgrass Co. near the Craighead-Poinsett county line.
Two other men were arrested on theft charges in connection with the case. Authorities did not know if Cruz-Yancey had an attorney.
