LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (May 3, 2012) - As a grandparent, are you longing to positively impact your grandchildren, to strengthen your relationship with them, to pass along your cherished family traditions and values?

Anne Dierks is the author of Granny Camp, an interactive book full activities to help you bond with your grandchildren. It will help you make those priceless moments with your grandkids even more fun and memorable.

According to Dierks,  the term "Granny Camp" refers to a set amount of time, usually a week in the summer, when all or some of your grandchildren come to your home.

"It's a very focused time with your grandchildren," says Dierks. "It's not when you're babysitting, it's not when you're having them over for dinner; it's when you're going to do special things just for them."

Dierks says she started her own personal Granny Camp after all seven of her grandchildren were at her home at one time.

"I had to get organized," she says. "I made lists and got more organized and then my children said, 'Mom, you've done all these neat things, you need to write it down'".

THV's Alyse Eady sat down with Dierks on 'Today's THV This Morning' to learn what "campers" can expect at Granny Camp and how grandparents can get started on their own camp. Click on the THVideo!
