Amy Wise, Jonathon Cox, Savannah Richardson arrested in alleged counterfeit scheme

BENTON, Ark. (KTHV) - A special investigations unit, comprised of Benton and Bryant officers, have arrested three people after an alleged counterfeiting scheme.

Police say the investigation led them to obtaining a warrant to search a home on W. Woodlawn in Benton. Many contraband items were found that are used in making counterfeit money.

According to police, Savannah Richardson, 47, was arrested and charged with three counts of first degree forgery, and criminal possession of a forgery device.

In addition, police say Jonathan Cox, 20, and Amy Wise, 24 were arrested and charged with two counts of first degree forgery, criminal possession of a forgery device, marijuana possession, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Cox and Wise had warrants for their arrest on unrelated charges out of Benton and Haskell. The investigation is ongoing and more arrests are expected, according to police.
