PEA RIDGE, Ark. (AP) - Police in northwest Arkansas have arrested an Oklahoma man accused of placing an online ad on Craigslist and allegedly robbing people who responded to it.
According to an affidavit, Tevin Knight placed a Craigslist ad selling an Apple iPhone for $300. A man told police that he met the seller at a McDonalds in Pea Ridge to buy the phone. He told officers he gave a man $300 for the phone - and was then robbed at gunpoint for an additional $200.
Jail records say Knight is from Vian, Okla.
The Springdale Morning News reports (http://is.gd/CGY6ec) that Knight is also accused in a similar incident in Lowell.
Knight was arrested Monday for aggravated robbery. Authorities did not know if he had an attorney.
