MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. (AP) - No one was injured when a fire destroyed a cabin at a resort near Bull Shoals Lake.
Authorities say a man and woman were staying in the cabin at Batty's Resort. Authorities say the couple's basset hound woke them up early Monday morning and the couple discovered their cabin was on fire.
The couple and their dog escaped without injury.
Authorities say the cabin was black and charred and the roof was gone. The fire also melted siding on two adjacent cabins.
The Oakland-Promise Land Volunteer Fire Department says it's still investigating the cause of the blaze, but they don't consider the fire suspicious.
The owners of Batty's Resort tell the Baxter Bulletin (http://is.gd/4BwS4F ) that they will rebuild the cabin.
