LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- A federal grand jury has indicted a probation officer and assistant area manager for the Arkansas Department of Community Correction.  Kelli Jo Brock is accussed of making false statements in a shooting on July 11, 2009.

According to the indictment handed down May 10, Brock told police an intruder, Robert Allan Frederickson shot her. Yet, this indictment alleges Frederickson could not have shot her the way Brock describes how she grabbed the semi-automatic Glock 23 pistol.

The FBI is also investigating a "threatening letter" she may have sent herself.  The U.S. Attorney's office says Brock provided another document that is subject of the charges of falsifying a document.  The attorney's office is also charging her with making a false statement to a federal agent. 

The attorney's office has served a summon for Brock to appear in court for plea and arraignment.

The Department of Community Correction would not discuss Brock's indictment, but sent us her resignation letter effective May 18th. Her letter says she needs to focus on ongoing medical issues. It does not mention her indictment.

If Brock is found guilty she could face 25 years behind bars and $500,000 in fines. A jury acquitted Frederickson, the man originally accused of the shooting.

We tried reaching U.S. Attorney Chris Thyer for comment, but were told, he was unavailable and in court.
