LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - The Representative Council of the Pulaski Association of Classroom Teachers (PACT) voted "no confidence" in PCSSD leadership.

The leaders include PCSSD Superintendent Jerry Guess and PCSSD School Board/ADE Commissioner Tom Kimbrell.

PACT says the vote is a result of the men "removing recognition, dishonoring legally-binding union contracts, and enforcing budget cuts solely on the backs of teachers and support staff in PCSSD."

PACT also says while teachers' salaries were cut by the thousands, Guess and other district administration had no salary cuts.

They want the public to reach out to Governor Mike Beebe and urge him to intervene and "resolve this blatant attack on the unions in PCSSD."

The Rep Council also voted to petition Gov. Beebe to direct Guess and Kimbrell to restore PACT and PASS, reinstate contracts, and return to the negotiation process.
