NORPHLET, Ark. (KTHV) - Authorities are investigating an explosion at a Union County oil company that killed three.
According to the Arkansas Department of Emergency Management, the three victims were employees of Long Brothers Oil Company near Highway 335 in Norphlet. They were reportedly working on a tank battery when vapors inside ignited.
According to the Associated Press, the fire was extinguished but not before it spread to nearby woods. The Union County emergency manager tells AP that forestry crews have it under control.
Names of the victims have not been released.
