LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - A waitress and single mother from Amagon, Ark. who never had enough time or money to go to college, is now the inspiration for a big event in White County.
That woman is Louise Beebe, mother of Governor Mike Beebe.
The White County Single Parent Scholarship Fund is hosting their first ever Louise Beebe Scholarship Endowment Dinner. Proceeds will help the White County organization add to their already impressive list of scholarship recipients. Since 1999, 366 single parents have been awarded over $184,000.
Governor Beebe is the guest speaker, our own Craig O'Neill will emcee. The dinner to be held at Harding University.
