Charlie Daniels Band to perform at Pepsi Concert Series

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (May 26, 2012) - Magic Springs presents country music sensation The Charlie Daniels Band this weekend as part of their Pepsi Concert Series. 

Charlie's rebel anthems Long Haired Country Boy and The South's Gonna Do It propelled his 1975 collection Fire On the Mountain to Double Platinum status. He won a Grammy Award in 1979 for The Devil Went Down to Georgia.  The following year, the song became a major crossover success on rock radio stations after its inclusion on the soundtrack for the hit movie Urban Cowboy. Charlie and The Charlie Daniels Band have also earned awards from the Gospel Music Association, the Country Music Association and Academy of Country Music.
 
As a proud member of the Grand Ole Opry, Charlie regularly performs on the Opry sharing the stage with fellow Opry members.  He has been inducted into the Musicians Hall of Fame, and has received a Star on Music City's Walk of Fame.
 
The concert is Saturday, May 26, at the Magic Springs Timberwood Amphitheater. Concert gates open at 6 p.m. Local singer, songwriter and guitarist, Luke Williams, will open for Charlie at 7 p.m. Headlining act starts at 8 p.m.
 
The Pepsi Concert Series is included with  one-day general admission ticket or Season Pass. Free concert seating is available on the lawn or you may purchase VIP Reserved Seating (Rows A-E) for $10 or Regular Reserved Seating (Rows F-U) for $5.
